Why does a motorcycle battery keep going flat? Check charging as a system
A new battery will not solve a charging fault or parasitic drain.
Resting voltage alone is not enough. Voltage drop during cranking, charging behaviour at different engine speeds and the physical condition of terminals and connectors should be considered together.
A stator, regulator-rectifier, poor earth, corroded connector or badly wired accessory can repeatedly drain or undercharge a good battery.
If a battery keeps going flat, finding the cause before replacing parts is usually the more reliable and economical route.
This is general technical guidance. Torque values, service limits, pressures and parts compatibility must be confirmed for the exact model and year.
